Like most firms who sent a 2008 calendar to customers for the holidays, Czarnowski, a leading exhibit and event firm, knew their calendar would serve as a yearlong reminder of customer appreciation. But this socially-conscious team wanted to make a difference – to create awareness for deserving charities by featuring one each month of the year.
After researching organizations with 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator, an independent charity evaluator that analyzes the financial health of more than 5,300 charities, the team painstakingly narrowed the list to twelve. Among them was All Kinds of Minds, selected as the January highlight.
Each month calendar recipients get a note describing the selected charity and a graphic representation of it to adhere to the attractive calendar housing. At the end of 2008, each calendar will be a collage of twelve powerful images and a reminder of how support makes a difference. Czarnowski also makes a generous donation each month to the featured organization.
“We are extremely grateful to the Czarnowski team for selecting us, sharing our mission with their customers and so creatively showcasing our work,” said Mary-Dean Barringer, Chief Executive Officer of All Kinds of Minds
But, the calendar was only the beginning. “After supporting as broad a range of sectors as possible, we knew we could grow awareness at another venue, a major industry trade show in March,” said Janine Makar, Czarnowski Director of Marketing.
CHARITYMATCH, an engaging feature of their EXHIBITOR2008 display, expanded the life of Czarnowski philanthropy. Visitors engaged in a computerized interactive experience, where based on their company’s specific brand attributes, they were matched to one of the twelve charities. In addition, Czarnowski plans to make a donation in each visitor’s name to their matching charity and gave out pins promoting the charity to wear during the show.
Hope, strong, optimistic, practical and comprehensive are some of the attributes selected to describe All Kinds of Minds.
“Our program ignited a happy buzz at the show. Everyone responded to the concept and appreciated the way we matched their brands to the positive attributes of the charities,” said Makar.
