What is the Schools Attuned Program?
The Schools Attuned Program is a research-based professional development program for educators. It is designed to help educators understand students’ learning profiles and provides the knowledge, tools, and skills needed to help frustrated students break through barriers to success and reclaim the joy in learning.

How can I participate in the Schools Attuned Program?
The Schools Attuned Program is offered in locations across North America and in Europe. You can come to us or we can come to you. To see which one best fits your needs click here or contact us toll-free at (888) 829-5995 or email sa@allkindsofminds.org.

How do I find a course near me?
Courses are currently scheduled across the United States as well as in Canada and Europe. All Kinds of Minds and its course delivery partners can also bring the Program to your school or a nearby host school. Check the website for our schedule and registration: www.allkindsofminds.org/pd/

If you would like to host the Schools Attuned Professional Development Program at your school, our Customer Service Department can help connect you to a representative in your area.


How can my school host the Schools Attuned Program?
Option #1 - All Kinds of Minds provides training on-site to a school or consortium for cohorts of up to 26 participants. The requesting site contracts with All Kinds of Minds who, in turn, delivers all aspects of the Program—including the facilitated course and all supporting online follow-up and delivery of Schools Attuned in Practice post-course modules. Option #2 – You can send a team of teachers from your school to an open enrollment course offered by any one of our course delivery providers. For a listing of providers and their contact information click here.


How much does the Schools Attuned Program Professional Development Program cost?
Tuition for the Schools Attuned Program includes fees and materials for the course, a strategy and implementation resource manual and access to educator resources.Travel and lodging that might be part of attending a course outside of your community, are not included in course fees.

Tuition cost varies depending on the delivery provider and venue. To ascertain your tuition cost please contact your local course delivery provider.


How can I get funding for the Schools Attuned Program?
There are many ways to obtain funding to support your Schools Attuned participation. From federal title funding, to grant requests, to other fundraising activities, the sky is the limit. For a list of some suggestions click here.

My school can only afford to send one teacher. Can that person train the rest of the staff?
No, participation in the Schools Attuned Program is an interactive, professionally-facilitated experience designed to assist educators in managing learning differences in the classroom. The program is not a “train the trainer” model and does not prepare participants to educate others. Additionally, all materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, and participation is conditioned upon compliance with the Institute's acceptable use policies.

Where can I find a listing of schools that participated in the Schools Attuned Program?
More than 5,000 schools and districts have participated in the Schools Attuned Program. If you are interested in finding a specific school in your state or region, please contact our Customer Service Department at sa@allkindsofminds.org.

Note: Because All Kinds of Minds protects the confidentiality of Schools Attuned participants and their organizations; we do not publish a list of participating schools.


Will I receive CEU credits for attending the Program?
While the Schools Attuned Program does not actually award CEUs, we do provide the documentation required so you may submit it to your school district or other appropriate awarding entity. It's up to that entity (i.e., school district, state DOE, college, etc.) to designate how the CEUs can be used as they relate to meeting reading, math requirements, or any other requirements set by the state.

Have any studies been done to show the success rate of the Schools Attuned Program?
Since 2000, All Kinds of Minds has proactively stimulated research in the field by encouraging and supporting the work of independent researchers studying the Schools Attuned Program. Numerous studies have been conducted on the impact of Schools Attuned on student outcomes, teacher knowledge and instructional practices, and school systems.

Implementation of Schools Attuned principles and strategies has been found to lead to positive outcomes for students, including increased engagement in learning, improved academic performance, increased self-esteem and self-efficacy, and improved social skills and behavior. Teachers who have participated in Schools Attuned have demonstrated increased skills in identifying and addressing the diverse learning needs of their students and working collaboratively with families to help students succeed. The integration of Schools Attuned into school systems has also resulted in positive school-level outcomes, including providing a shared vocabulary for communicating about student learning, improving collaboration among school staff, increasing parent and community involvement, and strengthening school culture.
