All of the courses and modules developed by All Kinds of Minds are research-based, and external evaluation has validated the learning outcomes.  Program content is based on insights from neuroscience and other disciplines, and program design draws from research on best practices in professional development and adult learning.

The 5-Day Course (Schools Attuned to All Kinds of Minds) (not available at this time)

This course provides an in-depth exploration of learning and learning variations, along with All Kinds of Minds’ signature processes and tools that help educators address the wide range of learning differences in their classrooms. In this course, you’ll delve into how the mind functions using All Kinds of Minds neurodevelopmental framework and how an understanding of this science of learning can enhance your instructional decision-making and build your professional expertise.  Through interactive discussions, case studies, and reflection, you’ll develop skills to identify strengths and breakdowns in student learning, link them to a student’s unique learning profile, and effectively select instructional strategies that leverage a student’s strengths and help him or her overcome barriers to learning.

Separate Generalist Path (grades K-6) and Subject Specialist Path (grades 6-12) courses are offered.

The 3-Day Course (Teaching All Kinds of Minds)

This course approaches the science of learning through academic themes (e.g., reading and writing) and provides tools and activities for next-day classroom use.  Through this course, you’ll gain a better understanding of your learning profile, explore a All Kinds of Minds’ neurodevelopmental learning framework to learn how the mind functions, and consider how this new insight can support your classroom and school priorities. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and reflection, you’ll develop skills to identify strengths and breakdowns in student learning, link them to a student’s unique learning profile, and effectively select instructional strategies that leverage a student’s strengths and help him or her overcome barriers to learning.

Appropriate for grades K-12; curriculum is suited to mixed grade level groupings.

The 1-Day Overview (Understanding Learning and Learners)

This one-day workshop introduces a way of using the science of learning to better understand and address the learning diversity in your classroom.  In this workshop, you’ll learn about All Kinds of Minds neurodevelopmental framework and engage in an interactive overview of the mind’s functions to help you gain a deeper understanding of how your students learn. You’ll discover how students’ unique learning profiles can affect their school performance and get ideas on how you can use this deeper understanding of learning to align your curriculum and instruction with the learning profiles of your students.

Appropriate for grades K-12; curriculum is suited to mixed grade level groupings.
